ST. LOUIS - Members of the St. Louis Rams as well as the team's
president, John Shaw, were on hand to greet and serve guests at Taste of the NFL
St. Louis on Monday, September 8, 2003. The event was held at the Edward Jones
Headquarters.
Taste of the NFL
St. Louis, presented by Edward Jones, is a food and wine tasting extravaganza in
which attendees were able to sample specialty foods, bid on unique items, and meet the
chefs and Rams players. Players making an appearance included honorary event
captain, Robert Thomas, Richard Angulo, Courtland Bullard, Dan Curley, Kevin Curtis,
Travis Fisher, Kevin Garrett, DeJuan Groce, Arlen Harris, Andy King, Dane Looker, Chris
Massey, Pisa Tinoisamoa, and Shane Walton.
Restaurants and
beverage companies in attendance included Annie Gunns, Aqua Vin, Cardwells at the
Plaza, Dierdorf and Harts, E. & J. Gallo Wines, Gerards, Green Briar Hills
Country Club, Gregorys Creative Cuisine, Grey Eagle Distributing, Harrys
Restaurant & Bar, Harvest, J. Bucks, LoRussos Cucina, Major Brands, Inc.,
Mike Shannon's, Noonday Club, Portabella, Racquet Club of Ladue, St. Louis Club,
Tonys and Trattoria Marcella.
The event raised
more than $66,000 for the St. Louis Area Foodbank and the St. Louis Sports Commission.
