donation of over 80,000
Steakburger patties to St. Louis Area
Foodbank
On
behalf of America’s Second Harvest, the St.
Louis Area Foodbank accepted
a local donation of 80,640 Steakburger
patties - more than any other food bank -
resulting from Steak n Shake's TAKHOMACARD gift certificate promotion
this past holiday season.

Overall, 385,560
STEAKBURGER™
patties will be donated to 72 food banks in
19 states across the country (national
news release). This is the fourth year of the
annual partnership, and more than 2 million
STEAKBURGER™
have been donated over that time.
The
STEAKBURGER™
received by the St. Louis Area Foodbank were distributed to more than
61 different agencies representing 10 different counties. "This
donation from Steak n Shake makes a significant impact on the problem
of hunger," said Frank Finnegan, Executive Director of St. Louis Area
Foodbank. "I applaud their generosity and look forward to
continuing our partnership for many years to come."
For every $5 in
gift card purchases at Steak n Shake restaurants from Nov. 1 through
Dec. 31, Steak n Shake donated one
STEAKBURGER™ patty to a local food bank.
